We booked just an overnight stay and would book again if in the area. Reception was polite and efficient. The hotel is well fitted and bright and airy. Everywhere is well looked after and extremely clean. Our room was on the first floor and had a partial sea view from the large balcony. Fiitings in the room were in good...
This smaller hotel is located at the edge of Calpe, in a quiet neighbourhood. The walk to the tourist center with its many bars and restaurants takes around fifteen minutes, but several big supermarkets can be found in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
Our room was spacious, spotless and seemed to be refurbished recently. It had very good beds and the free WiFi-signal was sufficiently strong. Also the bathroom was modern and contained a prime shower. We took a room with a kitchenette, basically for having a fridge. This kitchen could be improved, for example by extending the availability of kitchen utensils. The hotel has its own restaurant and it is therefore possible to reserve on half- or full board. Breakfast and dinner are served in buffet form and the offer is tasty and sufficiently comprehensive.
We stayed at the Esmeralda Hotel for a week whilst walking in mountains behind the Costa Blanca. The hotel was good value for money, the room was large with a nice balcony. The food was a good buffet for breakfast and dinner.
Hotel - Built in 1991 and refurbished in 2006. Yes you can see the hotel is a little dated but the rooms were fine, the beds are hard and you will push to singles together to make a twin. The bathroom is fine and the shower was very powerful. We went with our young daughter so we had a two bedroom with bathroom/balcony set-up which was fine. The second bedroom comprises of 2 sofa beds...
Beautiful hotel very clean and tasteful, lovely spacious rooms with balcony and sea view.stayed half board and food choice, quality and quantity excellent. Staff helpful and pleasant and hotel facilities and spa exceptional.if I had to be really picky I would like warm plates for the hot food selection otherwise highly recommended
The hotel was beautiful, everything was clean and the decor was tasteful , the rooms are excellent and cleaned daily.
The food was delicious, the only thing was it was often not hot enough for me.
We were HB and the drink measure at the evening meal was very stingy, less than half a glass!
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
We stayed here with my parents as a treat whilst staying over in the area for a couple of weeks. Only booked 1 night and really wished I'd booked more. I made a mistake on the date of the booking and Maria the receptionist was so helpful and sorted us out the same room we have booked (suites) . First impression was perfect, grounds are lovely, swimming pool and lounges wonderful, reception and restaurants very elegant....
We attended the New Year Eve party at The Cook Book which proved to be an unforgettable experience.
The menu was incredible with 12 courses, even though I thought I didn't like anything.
However, all dishes were served with very palatable seasonings so you wouldn't have known you were eating eels or octopus or scallops. All dishes tasted amazing.
The attention to detail by all staff was incredible with free flowing wine and drinks all evening.
Everything was timetabled perfectly to end up with the customary fine champagne at midnight.
It seemed a tad expensive at €185 per person but it was truly worth it.
Hopefully we can visit again next year.
