The Valencian Region has numerous golf clubs that attract some of the best golfers, as well as players of all different levels who wish to practice their favourite sport close to the sea.
Calpe is just a short distance from the area’s most prestigious golf clubs. These clubs offer different levels of difficulty and different terrains, ranging from 9 to 18 holes. It is possible to enjoy ideal temperatures throughout the year, with over 300 days of sunshine on average.
- Club de Golf La Sella, Denia:
This magnificent course was designed by José María Olazábal, and offers all the commodities of a top level club. Designed with 18 holes (an additional 18 holes are foreseen for the end of 2009), the club also offers the following: restaurant, terrace area for hosting celebrations and events, equipment hire, buggies, training course and golfing tutorials and lessons. The club has hosted several important International events such as the recent “European Nations Cup” (in fact, the last two editions have been held at this course). Well known players from many different countries have placed here: Germany, England, Belgium, Holland, Australia, Austria, the United States, France, Russia,… and naturally: Spain!
- Golf Don Cayo:
This Golf Club is considered a symbol by golfers from around the Costa Blanca: it opened in Altea, just a few kilometres from Calpe, in 1974. This Club offers 9 holes of variable difficulty surrounded by palm trees and with incredible views of the sea.
- Other Clubs:
such as Javea Golf Club (9 holes) and Ifach Golf Club (9 holes) are easily accessible from our hotel and offer a pleasant family atmosphere with the Rock of Ifach as a backdrop.
